FUNCOURS
The
purpose of this event is to have fun and enjoy the splendor of all our Triumphs.
Rules:
- Cars
must be assembled in the reserved Hotel parking lot before 8 a.m. Saturday
PARKED WITH CARS FACING PARALLEL AND OUTWARDS.
- Parking
will be on a first come first served basis and not grouped by vehicle model.
- Triumphs
must be registered with car numbers displayed on the windshield.
Late entries must notify the judges to have their car judged.
- All
bonnets (engine) and boots (trunks) must be open. Tops must be up(if you
choose to have your top down, it must be laid flat at the front of your
car with display). Side windows must be down. Non- compliance may result
in “0” points for that category.
- Side
curtains must be placed at the side of the cars or on display.
- Note
that your car is judged to a standard, NOT against other cars.
If your car is clean, presented well, and shows attention to detail, it
will be judged favorably. No deductions are made for modifications unless
they are poorly executed, or inappropriate.
- Up
to five extra points are available for a display in front of your car. Almost
anything can be a display as long as the judges feel that it reflects the
event. It is possible that the points awarded for your display could move
your car to the next level of award.
- Judging
will start at 8 a.m., so please be ready to let the judges do their job.
The Funcours will end at noon.
- Three
judges will judge your car with the points averaged. Judges shall use the
“Three Foot Rule”, but may need to be closer to inspect the
interior and engine compartment.
- The
Award categories are:
Gold 90 - 100 points
Silver 80 - 89 points
Bronze 70 - 79 points
Special category: Jim Messineo Best Display - the display that dazzles the
judges with it’s originality.
Awards will be presented at the Banquet on Saturday evening.
