TTriumphest

 

  • Triumphest is an annual blowout event sponsored each year by one of five Triumph clubs from Arizona to Washington state since 1986. Triumph Travelers first hosted Triumphest in 1988 at the Marriott Hotel in Santa Clara, There were 180 Triumphs in attendance. It is usually a 3 day event although on several occasions it has been combined with the Vintage Triumph Register convention for a full 5 days of Triumph fun. Typical activities include:
    1. Autocross - a chance to test your car and your driving skills in a safe environment
    2. Funcana - low speed obstacle course.
    3. Friday night party
    4. Saturday night awards banquet
    5. Funcours - cars are judged against a standard, not each other. Daily drivers and trailor queens can all win awards.
    6. Gimmick rallye - fun rallye, follow a route and look for clues.
    7. Driving tour -
    8. Hotel walking rallye
    9. Picture and model contests
    10. Uffda awards
Triumph Travelers sponsored Triumphests

Triumphest 1999 was held at the Marriott Hotel in San Roman. A highlight of the event was the Friday night party featuring an elaborate array of carnival games complete with lights and sounds. There were close to 200 Triumphs registered.

Triumphest 2004 was held at the Horizon Hotel and Casino in South Lake Tahoe, NV. Over 220 cars were registered from as far away as Ohio.

Triumphest 2008 featured a return visit to the Hoizon Hotel and Casino in South Lake Tahoe, NV.

Triumphest 2013 was held in San Ramon. Since it was combined with the VTR National Convention , it was extended to 5 days and included a time/distance rallye and strictly concours judged event in addition to the traditional Triumphest festivities. Sonoma Raceway hosted the autocross, funkana, and LeMans start competitions. The event concluded with Triumphs taking a parade lap during the Historic Races on Sunday.
  Triumphest 2018 took place in Sacramento, CA in September 2018. Registration opened Thursday and on Friday an autocross, Funcana, and LeMans start was held at Cal Expo, about a mile away from the Hilto Arden West, our host hotel. The Friday night hospicaity party had a gold miner theme and many participated in the costume party. Live music was provided. Saturday , attendees could enter their cars in either a funcours or a concours event. Road rallye's and driving tours took up Sat urday afternoon followed by the awards banquet.
